Vapor Honing Restorations was established in 2020 by James Goldsmith; an airplane mechanic by trade and a motorcycle & restoration enthusiast in his free time. In 2018, James began restoring his (what model/year) BMW to appear in Portland’s One Moto Show, 2019. During the restoration process, James found the need for vapor honing services to complete his project but struggled to find a reputable company locally. Utterly surprised by the lack of these services in the Portland area, James researched starting his own business locally for other restoration enthusiasts. After his BMW appeared in the One Moto show in 2019 (see photos below), James set his focus to launching his own business that would provide quality vapor honing restoration services to enthusiasts like himself.
